Eligibility Criteria for JMC Recruitment 2026

Only Differently Abled candidates are eligible to apply for this special recruitment drive. Applicants must possess a benchmark disability of 40% or more, as per the provisions of the State Government Resolution CRR-102017-122639-G.2, dated 17/09/2021. Candidates should refer to the specific educational qualifications and age limits for each post. Nationality requirements stipulate that applicants must be citizens of India, or from specific categories of individuals who have migrated from Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam, with the intention of permanent settlement in India.

Educational Qualification for JMC Recruitment 2026

• Additional Assistant Engineer (Civil) Class-3: A valid B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering OR a Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institution with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Sanitary Sub Inspector Class-3: 12th Pass AND a Government recognized Sanitary Inspector (SI) Diploma/Course.
• Junior Clerk cum Computer Operator Class-3: A Graduate degree from a recognized university AND a Government recognized CCC (Course on Computer Concepts) pass certificate AND basic computer application knowledge as per the Gujarat Civil Services (Classification & Recruitment) Rules-1967 and subsequent amendments.

Age Limit for JMC Recruitment 2026

The age of the applicant will be calculated as of the last date of online application (16/08/2026). For Differently Abled candidates, the minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum age is 45 years. A 10-year age relaxation will be provided to Differently Abled candidates as per government rules, subject to a maximum age of 45 years. This age relaxation ensures that eligible Divyang candidates have a fair opportunity to apply.

Application Fees for JMC Recruitment 2026

All Differently Abled candidates applying for this recruitment drive are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 500/-. The application fee must be paid exclusively through online modes. Please note that fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances, nor will they be adjusted for any future examinations. Selection Process for JMC Recruitment 2026

The selection process for the Jamnagar Municipal Corporation Recruitment 2026 for Differently Abled candidates will involve a competitive examination. The selection will be conducted by the Staff Selection Committee of JMC, as per the rules outlined in Section 54 of The Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporations Act-1949. A provisional merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the examination. 1. Visit the official OJAS Gujarat portal: https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in/
2. Click on the “Apply Online” link.
3. Select the specific post (e.g., Additional Assistant Engineer, Sanitary Sub Inspector, Junior Clerk cum Computer Operator) for which you wish to apply.
4. Click on the “Apply Now” button to open the Application Format.
5. First, fill in your “Personal Details” accurately. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
6. After filling personal details, proceed to “Educational Details” by clicking on “Educational Qualifications”.
7. Click on “Self Declaration” and accept the terms and conditions by clicking “Yes”.
8. Click “Save” to register your application online. An “Application Number” will be generated, which you must save for future reference.
9. Click on “Upload Photograph”. Enter your Application Number and Birth Date, then click “OK”.
10. Upload your photograph (5 cm height, 3.6 cm width, max 15 KB, JPG format) and signature (2.5 cm height, 7.5 cm width, max 15 KB, JPG format). Ensure these are scanned and saved on your computer beforehand.
11. Confirm your application after reviewing all details. Once confirmed, no further changes will be possible. A “Confirm Number” will be generated; save it for future reference.
12. Click “Print Application” to get a copy of your submitted application form.
13. Pay the application fee of Rs. 500/- online using “Online Payment of Fee” via Net Banking or other payment modes. Your application will only be considered complete after successful fee payment.
